I'm looking for advice on how to minimize the damage that student loans are going to do to my life.
Right now I'm going back to college and those oh so easy to get loans from Sally Mae are starting to pile up. From mid 2008 to today I have racked up $6,200 in loans for about 8 classes. I think I have about 35 more classes to go so this number is going to explode soon.
I'm trying to come up with ways to make the damage more bearable. Right now I'm trying not to fail any classes, that's just throwing away money. I'm also buying all my text books used online with my own money. This saves about 80% on the college book store price. The last thing I'm doing is saving, I don't want to part with my money until I have to but I am putting away everything I can to throw at my final loan balance once repayment time comes.
My question is what else can I do? Does anyone have any tricks to minimize student loan debt?
