Spotted WHAT?

Eat some delicious spotted dick. Did I just insult you or give a real desert menu suggestion? Spotted Dick is an imported British desert. I snicker and laugh when I see it in the international section of Meijer. I decided to buy some and try it out this weekend. Check out the price tag, this stuff better be good.

It's pretty easy to make just microwave it for a minute and put some butter on. When I looked online I also saw that custard is very popular to put on it. I could see that because it might cut the sweetness of this cake.

So on to the taste. Spotted dick is a very sweet super moist sponge cake with raisins in it. It's actually pretty good but that little 10oz can is a tricky one. I would say that a quarter to half of that can is a desert for one person. It's so rich of a cake it made me feel a little sick afterward. Rum cake does the same thing to me if I eat more than one small slice. It's good cake so I'm going to pick up another can for my next gaming night and let friends try it out.
